Course Description: The course PG Diploma in Healthcare Administration enables students to gain conceptional and professional management skills and prepares the student to perform Administrative functions in any form of Healthcare facility including hospitals. Healthcare Administration is an area that deals with Healthcare facilities, Hospital Networks and Hospital Management, leadership and Administration. Healthcare Administrators are considered experts in the Healthcare field. The program prepares students for leadership roles in the Healthcare sector through planning, operational, project management training including orientation in the clinical and support services management aspects. The curriculum also offers instruction in the management of financial, material and information systems in Healthcare environments and develops the opportunities, behaviour and skills required for people management. Along with traditional modules our curriculum covers latest technologies in Healthcare like Telemedicine and Artificial Intelligence.

Course Objective:

• To provide conceptual understanding of management concepts related to hospitals
• To familiarize the students with the contemporary issues in management and how they are applicable to the functioning of hospitals.
• To understand and appreciate the human behaviour in organisations
• the basic principles of accounting and finance and aims to convey an understanding of the major financial issues facing hospitals, such as reimbursement, cost allocation, physician hospital connectivity assessment and risk sharing
• To understand and implement IT projects in hospitals to enhance the functioning of hospitals

Certification: Post Graduate Diploma in Healthcare Administration Certificate shall be jointly awarded by Apollo Medskills Limited and ICFAI University Sikkim to all successful candidates.
